Hi all, after much though on how to best allocate my time to social media I have decided to create a new blog dedicated to my current book series. Instead of creating information about the books as I have done up to now I thought it would be much better to just showcase the story lines and characters instead. I hope it attracts some more readers to the fold. Fingers Crossed!
Immerse yourself in a new book series and Enter the world of the Old Globe...
Currently working on the the third book in The Warspite Series “The Revenge” which as the title suggests concentrates on Hasler and Henry’s bid to catch up with the Fearnaught!
I am aiming to publish in December, but will have to wait and see how I get on!. I have to say I’m feeling pretty good about this story as it ties in a lot from books one and two and gives a lot of answers to people’s questions and opens up a few more!
“The Revenge” Book Three in The Warspite Series coming soon…
I have people chasing me for the third instalment in the Warspite Series so I thought I should get on on with it. Oddly most of it is already written but I need to revisit the start and add some scenes, probably about 10’000 words which I originally left out for another book but now need including to tie the story together with the first book in a better way. Confused? Yes it does get a bit confusing but that’s the joy of writing a series.
Gold Stars all round…
The Godling now has 11 reviews, all positive 4/5 stars which I am pretty happy about!! Reviews are hard to come by in this busy age so every time I get one I rejoice!! On that note bad reviews are probably easiest to attain. When I flick through Amazon books I notice bad books getting more reviews than average to good books – I suppose everyone loves to have a moan!! Most of it seems to be books which haven’t been edited properly – or at all…
I finally finished the work on my flat and have traded London for a bustling little place by the sea (Hove) Its taken a lot of work over the last four months but its all been worth it. Decorating has been a bit like writing; you plough into the project full of passion not quite knowing exactly how it will turn out in the end, but confident in your grand vision and then half way through you start doubting yourself, wondering if you have bitten off more than you can chew? Not to mention all the changes, alterations, compromising and going over the same part again and again, and still not being entirely happy with it! Then there’s the point where you feel like it will never be finished or any good when it is… but you struggle on regardless and hopefully it comes good in the end. And even if some don’t like it, plenty more will!
So alas, its done! and now I’m enjoying living in Hove (near Brighton) somewhere new to me and quite unique. I have moved around London a fair bit as well as living in two port cities; Portsmouth and Plymouth but never have I lived right on top of the beach before so I look forward to the spring and summer (if we have a summer lol) and making the most of my new surroundings.
In addition, Hove is popular with writers so perhaps I will fit in! Speaking of Writing, now the decorating is done I can get back to writing properly and finish the third instalment of The Warspite Series. For those I know who are waiting for it I promise I will have it done soon, and I thank you all for your patience!
So, I hope you can forgive me for my long Absence… Its been a busy year full of change and a few personal Firsts, and I have some great news to post on here, but I thought I had better start with this message to put things right. And just to add some colour to this post check me out with my first “proper” paperback proof of my very first book “The Godling.”
You can expect more frequent posting from here on in!!
Love Cocktails? Love Books? Then you simply must watch this series, starring my good friend Robert Rankine who has helped me so much with my writing over the last few years. He takes a light hearted, humorous look at the drinks synonymous with your favourite books. Check it out, and learn how to make some pretty awesome Cocktails! Cheers!
I haven’t been Completely idle lately I promise, much of my time has been taken up with this new blog I am trying out. Because of my work I only have the weekends to get anything book or blog related done. I am usually too exhausted during the weekday evenings when I have a spare hour if I am lucky!
So here it is. I am examining the Historic inspiration behind your favourite films and books.
Looks pretty awesome so far! all feedback is appreciated.
